“We are dead stars looking back up at the sky,” Dr. Michelle Thaller, astronomer and science communicator at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center

We are made from elements created in supernovas. We see ourselves in the stars and use them to tell our stories. Stand against the wall, become your own constellation, and reflect your story back to the universe.

Observations

  • Visitors posed and took pictures of their constellations.
  • Visitors asked if their constellation mapped to real stars.
  • More light on the background wall would have created clearer outlines.
